I don’t usually leave bad reviews but in this case, I feel the need. Over 2 years ago we ordered flooring for our home we were moving into. Absolutely beautiful flooring that we installed ourselves because they were too busy to get anyone to help us at that time. No big deal. We ran out of funds to purchase transition strips to install where our tile and flooring met. Fast forward to earlier this year. We decided to list our house for sale so we needed to finish our transition strips or as they call them “risers”. I went into the Evansville location to order transition strips that needed to be for a 3/4” height difference. Told her how much sqft. I needed. She ordered it and when I picked it up and brought it home, I realized it wasn’t going to work. It was for a 1/2”. I called and explained my situation. They told me I needed a spline and that they don’t even carry the 3/4” strips. Here I am with over $300 worth of non returnable merchandise that I have to rig up and figure out how to make it work. I went into Home Depot and Lowe’s both asking about the spline. They told me that’s not what I needed and gave me something else to try. That also did not work. Whoever I spoke to at Benny’s said to call if I had any trouble when we discussed the spline. I called and explained how we were not able to figure out how to make this work and asked if someone could at least come to our house to look at it. She said she would call to ask about getting us help and get back to me. I never heard back and that’s been over two months ago. I had to handcraft wood pieces myself to make this work and it took a ton of my time, all because this business never called back and obviously don’t know how to make things right. Just don’t make the same mistake I did when ordering. Make sure they know exactly what they are ordering for you. They should have made this right and instead, gave us the runaround and never called back. Ironically, today I had a missed call from them thinking maybe they were calling to apologize for not getting back to me over 2 months ago. Unfortunately, they accidentally called me by mistake. This caused a lot of unnecessary work for us by not explaining that the 3/4”strips were not even an option. I would have never ordered them to begin with if I had known this.
